The first edition of KinoKino – International Film Festival for Children opens on Wednesday, March 16th at 19h with the screening of the Indian film Rainbow by the director Nagesh Kukunoor at cinema Europa, and the visitors will be able to enjoy the music of the children’s rock band Vodene kozice from 18h. Apart from the abovementioned movie, which won the Grand Prix and special mention by the Children Jury at last year’s Berlinale, our young audience will meet on-screen protagonists from almost thirty international feature films from all over the world: from Sweden and Estonia to India and Australia. 

The film screenings will be followed by moderated discussions about the films, and in cooperation with the artistic organization Bacači sjenki and the festival Kratki na brzinu, four workshops related to film and similar topics will be held during the festival. Our young audience will therefore have the complete festival experience and get the chance to stay at the cinema even after the movies and experience other film related activities.
