Emil and the Detectives in Special Line-up of Classics
We have great news for those somewhat older, who grew up reading Erich Kästner’s iconic book Emil and the Detectives: the first screen version of this legendary novel, filmed in 1931, will be screened in a special line-up of classics!
The film was made only two years after Kästner published his globally popular adventure novel for children and although two other adaptations were made, this one, the earliest, is considered the best so far.
As one can never have enough of classics, the competition screens another Croatian one – The Mystery of Green Hill, based on the novel by Ivan Kušan. The fourth sequel of the Croatian hit serial based on the popular novels is rather a prequel to the previous films (Koko and the Ghosts, The Mysterious Boy, Love or Death). The latest hit is directed by the young Croatian director Čejen Černić.
Get ready, there are more surprises to come – we take off in exactly two weeks!
