Based on popular novels from the Swedish writer Moni Nilsson about the adventures of a boy named Tsatsiki from Stockholm, Tsatsiki, Dad and the Olive War is the third film in the serial – the first, made in 1999, won a Silver Bear in Berlin and became a huge box office hit. In this sequel, the boy Tsatsiki is supposed to spend summer holidays visiting his father in an idyllic island town on Crete. However, when the long awaited holidays finally begin and Tsatsiki reaches his destination, he soon realises nothing is as it used to be. The financial crisis ruined his father’s hotel and olive plantation, but to save what can be saved the boy decides to take matters into his own hands. With his fearless friend Alva he embarks on a rescue mission and his holiday turns into a journey filled with adventure, friendship and love.
